What size skip do you need? The above are the sizes and prices of our skips. Call us old fashioned but for some reason skip sizes are still measured in cubic yards! The 6 yard builders skip is the most common which is about the size of a small car. If you need more guidance on sizes, please just call. Be realistic about the size of the skip you require. Having to hire 2 small skips works out more expensive than 1 large one. If you really have a lot of rubbish then it will work out cheaper to use the service of our grab lorry which holds the equivalent to nearly three 6 yard skips & saves on labour too. Where do you want your skip put? Please be aware that skips cannot be put on public roads without a permit, correct signage and lights. This all adds to the expense so you might prefer for us to deliver the skip and wait for you to load it then take it away. This is called “Wait & Load”. If you must have your skip put on a public road then we are afraid there are some additional costs £30 administration fee if you want us to arrange the permit £???? Whatever your local highways charge us for the permit (usually between £0 & £30) Arranging the permit can take upto 10 working days so please ensure you book in advance. All skips on the roads need to have a light positioned on each corner and be surrounded by traffic cones. We can supply these free of charge however there will be a £100 returnable deposit with the order and a £35 charge per item for any that are missing on collection of the skip. Most people have the skip put on the driveway. Don’t worry, we’ll be careful not to block the garage doors! Please be aware though that due to the stabilising equipment on the skip lorries, although rare, damage to driveways can sometimes occur.

Due to Waste Regulations, you cannot put the following items in them:- Plasterboard must now be kept separate and dry otherwise a 30% handling charge will apply to each skip found with plasterboard mixed amongst the load. We can supply one ton bags at £35 + VAT each on order of the skip.(If you supply the bag the cost will only be £30 + VAT) Place the bag on top of the loaded skip when ready for collection, still be careful to ensure the skip remains level loaded. Any additional one ton bags can be collected at the cost of £65 + VAT per bag. Tyres, asbestos, car batteries, fridge-freezers, clinical waste, liquids, “smelly” waste, large tree roots/logs, hazardous/corrosive substances, gas cylinders, oily wastes, televisions & monitors, fluorescent tubes, batteries, or any other waste classed as hazardous.
